There is another project of ACHA which is known as Housing Choice Voucher program. This is a federal program that helps very low income families, the elderly and the disabled ones to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in private market. ACHA administers 1384 Housing Choice Vouchers on behalf of U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The family that is issued a housing voucher is responsible of finding a suitable housing unit of family's choice where the owner agrees to rent under the program.
